Rome's most celebrated avenue, Via Veneto is the cradle of "la
dolce vita" immortalized by Fellini. It is also home to the
recently refurbished The Westin Excelsior, Rome - its most distinguished
address. Named to Condé Nast Traveler's 2005 Gold List, our
hotel is a monument to turn-of-the-century style. Our spacious guest
rooms boast rich custom fabrics, Imperial, Renaissance and Biedermeier
style furnishings, as well as walls and ceilings hand-decorated
by master artisans.
Built in grand turn-of-the-century style and recently renovated,
each guest room and suite features the Westin Heavenly Bed®

Doney - A gleaming gray-marble floor, maroon-and-pink
striped curtains, and red-leather chairs set the scene in this
surprisingly informal restaurant, which overlooks Via Veneto
and offers sidewalk dining in summer. The Mediterranean menu
changes regularly to feature regional and seasonal dishes such
as Fresh Pasta with Octopus and Sea Truffles. Open for breakfast,
lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch.
h club>doney - This historic café,
formerly known as the Gran Caffe Doney, has a large terrace
with outside tables on Via Veneto. Remodeled in 2003, the room
has a stylish, contemporary look. Coffee, snacks, and cocktails
are served all day.
Excelsior
Bar - Nineteenth-century antiques decorate this refined,
intimate piano bar. It is open for late breakfast, coffee,
snacks, and cocktails, with live music in the evening.
