Travel
has always been in my blood. Since I was born in Manchester, England,
I was able to make Europe my playground when I was growing up. We often
spent holidays in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and Greece amongst
other countries. After going to college in London and Paris and spending
a year teaching in the south of France, I decided to leave Europe. Since
my parents are Asian, I have always been attracted to that side of the
world. In 1992 I was fortunate enough to land a job in Hong Kong as
a journalist and used that opportunity to explore the rest of the continent.
I discovered new passions such as windsurfing, rock climbing and hiking.
These activities took me to Vietnam, Thailand, China, Philippines, Malaysia,
Nepal and other exotic locations. Little did I know at the time one
of these passions would bring me to my new home. In 1996 I took a windsurfing
trip to Maui and decided this is where I would settle. Some 11 years
later I am still here and now enjoy the beauty of Hawaii with its refreshing
trade winds with my husband and two sons.
